Chamber recruiting 2022-2023 Monroe County Leadership Now Class

The Monroeville/Monroe County Chamber of Commerce is recruiting for its 23rd class of Monroe County Leadership Now. There are over 300 graduates of this program since its inception. Most major employers and civic clubs in Monroe County have been active participants in the program.

Leadership Now is designed to prepare and build leadership resources in our region. The group of participants will be comprised of emerging leaders from businesses and nonprofit groups in Monroe County. They will receive an intense view of our resources through direct contact with a wide spectrum of institutions that keep Monroe County moving forward.

Leadership Now is a hands-on look at Monroe County. The program’s objectives are to increase community awareness, encourage existing and potential community leaders, and to create an active network of informed citizens to guide the civic and economic future of Monroe County.

Monroe County Leadership Now participants will take part in leadership training as well as field trips to explore local industries, healthcare, education and community services available in Monroe County.

Space is limited. Applications may be picked up at the Monroeville/Monroe County Chamber of Commerce office at 86 North Alabama Avenue Monroeville or downloaded from the chamber’s website at www.monroecountyal.com. Applications are due by Thursday, September 30, 2021.

2022-2023 Monroe County Leadership Now Class: End of Year Presentation

The Monroe County Leadership Now class of 2022-2023 had their end of year lunch celebration at the Vanity Fair Golf and Tennis Club. A leadership presentation was given by Dr. Melinda Murphy, dean of external funding and instructional services from Coastal Alabama Community College.
